Overview :
Students will watch an introductory PowerPoint presentation (including a brief video with a talking avatar). The video will set up the scenario. The students traveled back in time to ancient Greece. Unfortunately, the return passcode phrase has been lost. Luckily, clues for the passcode phrase were hidden there on a previous trip. Students will be visiting four (4) investigation sites to collect the clues to unlock the code.
Students will be divided into small groups of 3-4 members. Directions are provided at each investigation site. Each site requires students to read a one-page myth. As directed, they will decode a message at each site. The decoding process involves proving story comprehension. Students will work as a team with each student recording answers in their own booklet. One codeword will be collected at each site.
These one-page myths are included:
→ Arachne & Athena
→ The 12 Labors of Heracles
→ Pandora's Box
→ Theseus & The Minotaur
